Students will be able to...
- Identify commonly used classroom speaking activities
- Discuss the common framework for structuring the activities in the classroom
- Adapt the speaking tasks to specific level/classroom needs
Materials: Bring pencils and erasers for everyone. Bring all the cut-out activities. Make sure there is enough for everyone.
[10 min] Review Pronunciation 9:30-9:40
[15-20 min] Speaking Lecture 9:40-10:05
Don't go through PPT. Remind students that they can look to it for reference. Rather, bring up the simplified handout on the computer in front. Go over handout with students, asking them to critically think about the tables and share their answers with the class.

Show students the 13 common speaking tasks handout and a link to the tasks that you have created over the years. Make sure they know where to find it. Bring up the POST TASK DISCUSSION QUESTIONS and go over them with the students. Do the speaking tasks together. After the task, ask students to reflect on the strengths and potential pitfalls to operating the task:

Ensure students understand homework and take questions. Then, provide feedback on lessons. Remind students to work on their tense presentations.
